Do Not Give Up on a Two State Solution

Abbas might not promote terrorism, but he seems weak. I would like him to end the Unity Government with the Hamas terrorist group and continue peace talks with Israel for a Two State Solution. This solution would include a Democratic Jewish State of Israel and a Democratic Muslim and/or Christian State of Palestine, living together side-by-side in peace and security. Obviously, sensible borders would have to be drawn up to accommodate both sides respectively. This is an idealistic vision and it is the one that has historically, at times, been the accepted route for both sides.
Democratic and Jewish Israel will always remain a citizenry of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. Hopefully, Democratic Muslim and/or Christian Palestine will want to do the same. Jews in Israel will never be happy living in a bi-national or non-Jewish Democratic Israel (Name would probably change in these two possible scenarios). With the Jewish cultural homeland (in its ancient historic boundaries) in existence, Jews are often persecuted and live in fear on a global scale. Without an Israel, I can only imagine that this precarious situation for Jews worldwide would deteriorate to much higher levels.
Palestinian Arab Muslims and Christians who are not citizens of Israel, have shown that they likewise do not and probably will never want to live in a Democratic Jewish State. Like Israel, the Palestinian people would like to live in their own territory, with their own ethical values and culture, and under their own governance. There is nothing flawed with this vision. However, this Democratic Palestinian State must be tolerant and peaceful to their neighboring Democratic Jewish State.
Palestinian Arab Christians and Muslims who are citizens of Israel will always be able to remain and prosper in Israel. I have been in Israel, and there is no separation whatsoever of Palestinian Arab Muslims/ Christians citizens and Jewish citizens of Israel. I believe that a Democratic Israel will always incorporate the cultural and ethical values of all diverse faiths and cultures in Israeli society, while also maintaining a distinctive Jewish character (Specifically- Language: Hebrew, National Holidays: Jewish Cultural National Holidays, Calendar: Hebrew Lunisolar Calendar).
There are many other ethnic groups that are proud to be living in a Democratic Jewish Israeli State. Many Palestinian Citizens, Aramian Christians, Druze, Baha'i, Bedouins, Non-Jewish Russians, Chinese, Sundanese, Malaysian individuals and various ethnic and religious groups from all six continents believe that Israel provides them with a happy, prosperous and democratic lifestyle. Let us keep working and advocating for peace in this territory in whatever way that each individual sees fit. I will keep working for peace and brotherhood between both nations to be achieved in our days.
